Map

March 2007. Norfolk NMP.
Three possible areas of former medieval peat extraction may be visible on aerial photographs to the east of Barton Broad, alongside the Catfield and Barton Turf parish boundary (S1-S2). The site is centred on TG 3723 2106. These possible features are suggested by an amorphous darker and wetter area within the marsh. The easternmost cutting is located next to the existing Catfield Broad.
S. Massey (NMP), 30 March 2007.
