Summary

Early 17th century former farmhouse, timber framed with 19th century extension. Service doors from the through passage survive, as do the hearths with their bressumers intact. The building has a former stable and hay loft forming a link with the adjacent property and there is a free standing clay lump former wash house.

January 2007. Building Survey.
Former farmhouse, early 17th century. Timber frame. Single pitch corrugated iron roof. Typical three cell plan with off centre axial stack and through passage at low end of hall. 19th century extension off service room.
This had a serious fire which destroyed the roof. The building is undergoing a programme of conservative repair and restoration.
Service doors from the through passage survive, as do the hearths with their bressumers intact.
The building has a former stable and hay loft forming a link with the adjacent property and there is a free standing clay lump former wash house which has already undergone repair.
