Full Description
June 2007. Norfolk NMP
Cropmarks of undated rectangular enclosures and linear ditches are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These cropmarks are centred on TG 3218 0074 and were previously recorded as part of NHER 10311. A rectangular enclosure measuring 93m by 72m is present. Adjoining it are cropmarks of linear ditches which appear to form incomplete rectilinear enclosures. It is likely that these cropmarks are field boundaries, but they do not relate to the post medieval field pattern and are of unknown date. This area formed part of an area of heathland called White Heath. The relationship of the field boundaries to the barrow cemetery (NHER 49491) that they overlie is unclear.
J. Albone (NMP), 11 June 2007
