Full Description
August 2006. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of a series of post medieval field boundaries are visible on aerial photographs to the northwest of Boon’s Heath, on the border of the Aldeby and Burgh St Peter parishes (S1-S2). The site is centred on TM 4674 9271. These ditched boundaries are either parallel to or join up with existing elements of the modern landscape and those marked on the Ordnance Survey second edition map (1902-7, 25 inch) (S3), but now removed. Some of these boundaries had already been mapped as part of the desktop assessment for the Shrublands Quarry extension, NHER 31317 (S4). All of these boundaries has now been destroyed by quarrying.
S. Massey (NMP), 15 August 2006.
