Summary

Metal-detecting between 2006 and 2020 recovered late prehistoric worked flints including a scraper and a Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age flint flake; Late Iron Age, Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins and a range of other Middle/Late Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Middle/Late Saxon strap-end; a Late Saxon brooch, strap-end and coin weight or gaming piece; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval harness pendant, brooch, pin, casket key, thimble, mace head or staff terminal and copper alloy vessel legs; a medieval/post-medieval copper alloy needle, copper alloy ring, cloth seal, copper alloy vessel fragments and lead spindle whorls or weights and a post-medieval silver thimble and coin weight.
