Map

June 2007. Norfolk NMP.
Earthworks of rectangular pits of probable post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These earthworks are centred on TG 3806 0346. A group rectangular pits are present as earthworks adjacent to the River Yare. These pits are similar in form and setting to others recorded at Reedham (NHER 49349-50) and Norton Subcourse (NHER 10423). It is likely that they are extractive pits, possibly for clay. The detail of the individual pits at this site was not mapped, with only the extent of area being shown.
J. Albone (NMP), 20 June 2007.
