Map

September 2006. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of fragmentary ditched boundaries of probable late prehistoric to Roman date are visible on aerial photographs, Aldeby (S1). The site consists of a dispersed group of ditches broadly aligned NE-SW and NW-SE and centred on TM 4547 9368. These are likely to represent fragments of a field boundaries or enclosures and may be part of a much larger group of enclosures and fields to the immediate northwest (NHER 45019). The archaeological origin of all these features is not completely certain, as a variety of geological and natural cropmarks are also visible within this area on the aerial photographs.
S. Massey (NMP), 01 September 2006.
