Map

June 2007. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of a group of undated ditches are visible on aerial photographs to the south of the Postwick Transmitter Station (S1). The site is centred on TG 3024 0846. It seems likely that these cropmarks represent several phases of activity. Finds in this area indicate activity throughout the prehistoric, Roman and medieval to post medieval periods. It is likely that many of these cropmarks represent former field boundaries, however it is also possible that the L-shaped ditched features represent the fragmentary remains of rectangular or rectilinear enclosures. Although this cannot be certain on the current aerial photograph evidence.

Further cropmarks can be seen to the immediate west of this area, including trackways and additional field boundaries. However these have not been mapped as they fall outside of the current area of NMP mapping.
S. Massey (NMP), 23 June 2007.

June 2009. Norfolk NMP.
Further cropmarks can be seen to the immediate west of this area, including trackways and additional field boundaries. These have been recorded as NHER 52004.
E. Bales (NMP), 24 June 2009.

July 2023. Broads Hidden Heritage: Aerial Perspectives.
Some of the undated ditches described above are visible as cropmarks on Google Earth imagery from 2006 (S3). Some additional elements to those mapped by earlier projects may also be visible in the west of the site; these have the appearance of post medieval field boundaries.
