Map

June 2007. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of enclosures and field boundaries of possible medieval to post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs to the north and south of Witton Lane (S1). The site is centred on TG 3041 0942.
The site consists of a rectangular enclosure to the immediate north of Witton Lane and a series of former field boundaries to the south. All of these features are broadly aligned the same as the surrounding road and field layout suggesting a medieval to post medieval date. Although none of these field divisions are marked on the 1845 Tithe map (S2), possibly suggesting that it relates to an earlier layout.
S. Massey (NMP), 23 June 2007.
