Full Description
September 2006. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of a trackway or multiple ditched boundary of unknown date are visible on aerial photographs on ‘Mill Hill’, Aldeby (S1-S2). The site is centred on TM 4527 9331 and consists of a series of discontinuous linear ditches that potentially form triple ditched boundary or trackway, up to 150m in length. This trackway is located within the eastern edge of an area of medieval to post medieval date fields, enclosures and trackways (NHER 45026) and it may be of comparable date. However it does not follow exactly the same alignment and therefore may represent an earlier feature.
S. Massey (NMP), 01 September 2006.
