Full Description
July 2007. Norfolk NMP.
A cropmark of a ring ditch of Bronze Age date is visible on aerial photographs ((S1)-(S5)). This cropmark is centred on TM 4308 9724 and was previously recorded only as part of a barrow cemetery (NHER 12164). It has a circular plan with a narrow ditch and an external diameter of 22m. It is likely that it is of Bronze Age date and that it relates to a round barrow. A central pit cropmark is probably a grave. Further ring ditch cropmarks are located to its south (NHER 49624-5, 49627-8) which together make up the barrow cemetery (NHER 12164).
J. Albone (NMP), 04 July 2007.
