Full Description
June 2007. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of field boundaries of unknown date are visible on aerial photographs at Hassingham (S1-S2). The site is centred on TG 3678 0571. The site consists of a group of fragmentary field boundaries, possibly part of a field system of unknown date. It is possible that these are late prehistoric to Roman date in date. The boundaries follow a similar alignment to a series of enclosures and fields to the east interpreted as being Roman in date (NHER 49869). Finds of a Roman date have also been found within the area around this site.
S. Massey (NMP), 28 June 2007.
