Full Description
July 2007. Norfolk NMP
A cropmark of a small ring ditch of unknown date or function is visible on aerial photographs (S1). This cropmark is located at TG 4065 0718. The ring ditch has a circular plan with a narrow ditch and an external diameter of 9.5m. Other ring ditch cropmarks, relating to probable Bronze Age round barrows, are located further to the east (NHER 36344, 49388) and it is possible that this ring ditch is also of this date. However, its position within cropmarks of an Iron Age to Roman field system and later field boundaries (NHER 49393) means that it could relate to a roundhouse or later stack stand.
