Summary

A substantial boundary comprising a bank and ditch is visible as a soilmark on aerial photographs. It may have been the southern boundary of a former wood depicted on a 19th century map. Its sinuous outline suggests it may have originated in the medieval period.

A substantial boundary comprising a bank and ditch is visible as a soilmark on aerial photographs (S1), between TM 3455 9548 and TM 3473 9554. It continues the line of the former field boundary to its east, which is depicted on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition 6 inch (S2) and consequently has not been mapped by the NMP. It may have been the southern boundary of a wood depicted on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition 1 inch (S3). Its sinuous outline suggests it may have originated in the medieval period.
