Full Description
March 2007. Systematic Fieldwalking and Metal-detecting Survey.
Field survey on proposed line of Norwich Northern Distributor Road (Field 4).
A notable quantity of burnt flint recovered towards the centre of the field may represent the remains of a prehistoric 'pot boiler' site. Other finds were limited to a small number of prehistoric worked flints and an undatable droplet of copper alloy.
See reports (S1) and (S2) for further details.
A. Cattermole (NLA), 16 September 2009.
The results of geophysical surveys undertaken in 2009 and 2012/2013 are now recorded under NHER 63369.
P. Watkins (HES), 7 May 2019.
