Full Description
February 2007. Systematic Fieldwalking and Metal-detecting Survey.
Field survey on proposed line of Norwich Northern Distributor Road (Field 73).
Finds recovered included:
86 prehistoric worked flints.
2 medieval pottery sherds.
1 post-medieval silver coin.
1 undated lead weigh, 1 copper alloy ?mount, 4 fragments of lead waste and 1 fragment of possible metal-working debris.
The quantity of worked flint recovered was regarded as potentially indicative of significant prehistoric activity at this location.
