Summary

Metal-detecting between 2007 and 2018 recovered prehistoric worked flint including Neolithic cores and tools and a Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age knife; medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; post-medieval tokens and jettons and Late Bronze Age, Iron Age and Late Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Late Bronze Age razor fragment; an Iron Age terret; a Roman Aesica brooch; a Late Saxon stirrup strap mount; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval swivel for a leash and a harness mount and pendant; medieval/post-medieval copper alloy vessel fragments and a rivet or plug and post-medieval crotal bells, harness mounts, a spur and book clasp.
