The site of a probable medieval to post medieval post mill is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1)-(S3), centred at TM 3687 9672. The site is visible as a tell-tale cross-shaped cropmark surrounded by a mound or area of compacted ground, which is in turn surrounded by a ring ditch, with entrances to the east and west. The mound appears to respect, or is respected by, a field boundary of unknown date (part of NHER 49639), which overlaps its northeastern edge.

The ring ditch is roughly oval in plan and measures approximately 21m long and 18.5m wide. The mound is also oval and measures 18.5m long and 16.5m wide.
