Cropmarks of a curvilinear enclosure and ring ditches of probable late prehistoric date are visible on aerial photographs (S1). A curvilinear enclosure with a sub-square plan and external dimensions of 34m is present. It has a 1.5m wide ditch and possible entrances on its south and east sides. Within the enclosure are two small ring ditches with diameters of 3.5m and 4m. The smaller ring ditch has a gap or entrance on its east side. It is possible that the enclosure is of late prehistoric (Bronze Age to Iron Age) date although its function could be either domestic or funerary. The ring ditches within the enclosure could be small round houses or barrows. Outside of the enclosure are three larger ring ditches. An incomplete ring ditch adjoining its south-east side has a diameter of 12m and a slightly sub-circular plan. To its south-east is a complete circular ring ditch with an external diameter of 15m. The third ring ditch, which has a 14m diameter and a circular plan, is located to the west of the enclosure. It is possible that these ring ditches are of Bronze Age date and that they relate to round barrows. However, these cropmarks are located within a group of Iron Age and Roman cropmarks (NHER 1661) and it is possible that they could relate to round houses of Iron Age date.
