Summary

A burnt flint mound was found during field reconnaisssance survey on the route of a gas pipeline in 2002. ?Roman, medieval and post-medieval pot sherds, and post medieval building material were found. Geophysical survey identified a possible former field boundary.

Geophysical survey identifield potentially significant linear and pit-like anomalies. One of the linear anomalies could represent a former field boundary shown on the ordnance survey 1st edition map (S1). A burnt flint mound was observed during the field reconnaissance survey. ?Roman, medieval and post medieval pot sherds, and post medieval building material were found.
