Full Description
November 2002 - January 2003. Geophysical, metal detecting and fieldwalking survey. Bacton to King's Lynn Transco pipeline. Plot number 53.
Rectilinear earthworks were recorded which are interpreted as former field boundaries, and may relate to a former boundary recorded shown on the ordnance survey 1st edition map (S1). Fieldwalking recovered burnt flint, Roman and post medieval pot sherds, a medieval buckle and post medieval finds including bottle glass and clay pipe fragments.
A cropmark possibly indicating a trackway was not corroborated by the field surveys (S2).
See (S3).
J. Allen (NLA), 3 August 2007.
