Summary

Linear features and discrete geophysical survey anomalies were found during field reconnaisssance survey on the route of a gas pipeline. They could be linked to the possible Saxon cemetery nearby (NHER 31795, 25856), however no Saxon finds were recovered during metal detecting and fieldwalking surveys of the area.

Linear features and discrete geophysical survey anomalies could be linked to the possible Saxon cemetery nearby (NHER 25856), however the only objects found by metal detecting survey were a 16th century coin and a fragment of lead sheet. Fieldwalking recovered worked flints, medieval and post-medieval building material and a post medieval pot sherd.
