Full Description
Bacton to King's Lynn Transco pipeline. Plot number 28a.
See NHER 37614 for umbrella number for pipeline.
The geophysical survey detected a series of linear features and large discrete areas of strong magnetic disturbance concentrated where there were raised susceptibility readings. The evidence suggests that material was burnt in situ.
Two parallel linear features may represent ditches flanking a track. The findings probably indicate an occupation site, and could be associated with a possible cottage on (S1).
Fieldwalking recovered burnt and worked flints, medieval and post medieval ceramic building material and post medieval glass fragments.
See (S2).
