Full Description
August 2007. Norfolk NMP
A World War Two military site is visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2). A group of four pitched roofed huts were present along a field boundary hedge in March 1942 (S1). A circular hardstanding was present to the south of the huts on which an unidentified structure or piece of equipment was positioned. It is possible that this site was associated with Wendling airfield (NHER 7275), the perimeter track of which lies 1.1km to the south. The buildings has been demolished by March 1946 (S3). Only the extent of the site was mapped.
J. Albone (NMP), 23 August 2007
