Full Description
October 2007. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of a small group of fragmentary linear ditches, probably represent the remains of former field boundaries and trackways of unknown, but possibly Roman date, are visible on aerial photographs to the east of Ivy Cottages, Attlebridge (S1). The site is centred on TG 1331 1630.
The date of these fragmentary cropmarks is not known, however a number of Roman date artefacts have been recovered nearby, such as at NHER 20424, 25137, 37277 and 37422, and it is possible that these ditch segments represent the remains of Roman date boundaries and trackways.
S. Massey (NMP), 31 October 2007.
