Map

November 2007. Norfolk NMP.
The soilmarks and cropmarks of a former curvilinear boundary of possible medieval to post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs to the south of Hill farm, Weston Longville (S1-S2). The site is centred on TG 1086 1644. This broad (17m at widest but this is likely to the result of plough spreading of the bank material) curving boundary bank lies to the immediate south of an irregularly shaped parcel of land marked on the 1827 Weston Longville Enclosure map (S3) and it is possible that this curvilinear bank represents part of a more irregular pre-Enclosure field layout.
S. Massey (NMP), 12 November 2007.

October 2025. HER Enhancement: Forestry Commission Project K.
The curvilinear boundary of a possible medieval to post medieval date (see above) is visible as a low earthwork on visualised lidar data from a survey flown in 2021 (S4). As the lidar survey was flown relatively recently, it is likely that the boundary still survives as a very low earthwork. The earthwork continues for approximately 100m to the northeast on the visualised lidar data, further than previously mapped by the NMP survey.
The monument polygon has been extended to the northeast to represent the extent of the feature as visible on S4.
