Map

November 2007. Norfolk NMP
Cropmarks of a possible sub-circular enclosure are visible on aerial photographs (S1). The enclosure is sub-circular in plan with a narrow ditch and external dimensions of 43m by 38m. It is not sufficiently circular to be considered as a ring ditch. It is possible that it belongs to a class of large ring ditch defined monuments, recorded elsewhere in the county and beyond, that are considered to be of Neolithic or early Bronze Age date. However, its simply form make it difficult to be certain of its true date and function. On the aerial photograph showing the cropmark, it was located in an arable field with a cereal crop. The modern field boundaries that surround the cropmark are a late 20th century feature and are unrelated to it.
J. Albone (NMP), 12 November 2007.
