Map

November 2007. Norfolk NMP
Earthworks of enclosures and ditches of possible medieval to post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S3). At least two incomplete rectilinear enclosures defined by earthwork banks are visible to the west of Peacock Farm. The most complete of these measures 33m by 42m but contains a broad L-shaped bank possibly defining part of another enclosure. To the north of the farm are a number of linear ditch earthworks on of which is connected to a former pond. It is likely that they have a drainage function with some also defining enclosures. All of these earthworks are likely to relate to the present a late 18th or early 19th century farmhouse at Peacock Farm (NHER 41034) or an earlier farm at the same site.
