Full Description
November 2007. Field visit to examine and identify features reported by [1].
At least six slit trenches were identified. They probably date to World War Two and presumably were used during training exercises.
At TG 17057 41820: Rectangular trench, approximately 3m by 2m, aligned roughly northeast to southwest.
At TG 17008 41812: Rectangular hole, approximately 0.5m by 1m, aligned roughly northeast to southwest.
At TG 16997 41811: L shaped trench, approximately 2.5m (longest side) by 1.5m (shortest side) by 0.5m wide. The longest side was aligned roughly east to west.
At TG 16987 41802: Rectangular trench, approximately 2m by 0.5m to 0.75m wide, aligned roughly northwest to southeast.
At TG 16995 41770: Rectangular trench, approximately 2m by 0.5m, aligned roughly north to south.
At TG 17014 41777: L shaped trench, about 1m deep. The longest side was approximately 5m long by 0.5m wide and was alinged roughly east to west. The shortest side was about 1m long by 1m wide.
