Summary

In 2004 a series of mounds and hollows were recorded as part of the Coastal Survey carried out by the NAU. These may date to World War Two and relate to the adjacent military site (NHER 38527), but alternatively could be the result of modern landscaping as part of the golf course.

Land-based survey; Area A33, Context 54:
Collection of mounds and hollows, located on the cliff-top on the northern edge of Sheringham Golf Course (between TG 15308 43499 and TG 15240 43499). As they are located on the western edge of a Second World War site (NHER 38527), they could be military in origin, although they may be a result of golf course landscaping.
