Map

October 2007. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of a ring ditch, probably representing the remains of a Bronze Age round barrow, are visible on aerial photographs to the south of Hase’s Lane, Lyng (S1). The site is centred on TG 0909 1700. Both barrows are located on the upper slopes of the Wensum valley, overlooking what may have been a minor tributary of the Wensum, now the line of a major drain.

The ring ditch is slightly irregular in plan, with a straight segment within the northeastern arc, and measures approximately 24m in diameter (S1). It is not clear whether a break in the ditch to the southeast is an original feature.
S. Massey (NMP), 22 October 2007.
