Map

December 2007. Norfolk NMP.
The earthworks of a series of medieval to post medieval banks and drainage ditches are visible on aerial photographs to the northwest of St Edmund’s Chapel and the former Priory at Lyng (NHER 3048) (S1-S2). The site is centred on TG 0770 1737. It is possible that the banks and drainage works were constructed in association with this monastic site. A number of drainage ditches are visible as earthworks on the aerial photographs although these were not mapped as their archaeological significance is not certain, as they may be unrelated or post-date the medieval monastic site.
