Full Description
January 2008. Norfolk NMP.
A group of linear ditches is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1)-(S2), centred at TG 2536 1876. They probably represent field boundaries of post medieval date, as the cropmarks are relatively well defined, and in broad terms they conform to the modern pattern of enclosure (and that depicted on 19th and 20th century maps). The possibility, however, that they are instead of relatively modern, agricultural origin cannot be ruled out; they could, for example, relate to recent vehicle tracks or modern land drains.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 14 January 2008.
