Map

January 2008. Norfolk NMP.
Linear ditches of unknown date are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1)-(S3), centred at TG 2575 1505. They broadly share the same orientation as the 19th century to modern field pattern, coinciding with field corners and edges, and with the parish boundary at TG 2568 1496. This suggests that they could represent field boundaries of medieval to post medieval date. At the same time, they are visible only on the edges of the photographs, and consequently their archaeological significance is difficult to judge. Some may be of non-archaeological origin.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 30 January 2008.
