Map

January 2008. Norfolk NMP
Cropmarks of a linear ditches, probably field boundaries of unknown and medieval to post medieval date, are visible on aerial photographs (S1). Some of these ditches have a similar alignment to the modern field pattern, whilst others, such as the section between TF 6955 1779 and TF 6985 177, are shown on the second edition 25 inch to the mile Ordnance Survey map (S2). That particular ditch and another at TF 6927 1754, have previously been recorded during archaeological investigations at the site (NHER 37504), although no dating evidence was recovered (S3-S4). The majority of the ditches that were visible as cropmarks are of unknown date although it is likely that some are field boundaries.
