Summary

Metal-detecting between 2007 and 2010 recovered an Upper Palaeolithic/Mesolithic flint microlith/drill bit; a Late Prehistoric flint borer; Roman pottery sherds; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins and Roman to post-medieval and undatable metal objects. The metal finds include a Roman scabbard chape and brooch; a ?Late Saxon copper alloy ingot; medieval dress accessories (including a brooch made from an English jetton), harness pendants and lead spindle whorl; a medieval/post-medieval lead weight; post-medieval dress accessories, book clasp, gold finger ring, copper alloy seal matrix and lead alloy whistle and an undatable lead weight.

1 Roman coin, 5 pottery sherds (greyware) and 1 brooch.
1 ?Late Saxon copper alloy ingot.
6 medieval coins, 3 harness pendants, 1 hooked harness fitting, 1 buckle, 1 bar mount, 1 strap end and 1 lead spindle whorl.
1 medieval/post-medieval lid from set of nested cup weights,
14 post-medieval coins, 1 hooked tag, 1 book clasp, 4 buckles, 1 belt/harness mount, 1 copper alloy seal matrix, 1 copper alloy vessel fragment, 2 lead weights, 1 lead alloy whistle and 1 lead cloth seal.
1 undatable lead weight.
