Map

March 2008. Norfolk NMP.
The earthworks of probable medieval to post medieval boundary bank or causeway are visible on aerial photographs to the north of the parish boundary at East Hall Farm, Tottenhill (S1). This site is centred on TF 6483 1157. The earthwork consists of a curved bank, up to 9m wide, and flanked by a narrow ditch on either side. This is likely to be the remains of a raised trackway or boundary bank. The location of this earthwork appears to roughly correspond with the northern edge of Tottenhill Heath on Faden’s map of 1797 (S2). A similar curving earthwork, located on Whin Common, was also identified on aerial photographs approximately 850m to the southwest (NHER 59025).

This earthwork appears to have been plough levelled by 1988 (S3).
S. Massey (NMP), 05 March February 2008.
