The cropmarks of possible late prehistoric to Roman date enclosures and field boundaries are visible on aerial photographs to the east of Willow Holt, Tottenhill (S1-S2). It is possible that this site represents a small farmstead and associated fields. This site is centred on TF 6485 1189. Prehistoric flints and medieval pottery have been found in the general vicinity of the cropmarks (NHER 23596-7, 24099). Cropmarks within the area of this site that would appear to be medieval to post medieval in date have been recorded separately (NHER 50929, 50962).

The main concentration of cropmark features is located to the north of site, close to the road. The cropmarks would appear to indicate a rectilinear enclosure complex, covering an area approximately 75m by 100m, with numerous internal subdivisions. At TF 6478 1204 is a small square enclosure, 4m across, conjoined to a relatively broad ditch, perhaps representing an external boundary, rather than an internal subdivided one. To the southeast of this main enclosed area are fragmentary ditched boundaries following the same alignment and it is likely that these represent associated agricultural fields.

The area of the site is covered in cropmarks of geological origin, some of which formed linear features, however the majority of the cropmarks mapped would appear be archaeological in origin.
