Full Description
Barn, clay lump on flint plinth, early 19th century but pre 1840; recent roof. Clay lump stables, pre 1905. Cartshed/granary, red brick, aisled. Two unidentified buildings, inaccessible – one may be gig house, the other cow shed, its interior is described as three acres which is presumably a mistake. House dates to before 1840 but no other details given.

A survey was undertaken as part of a planning application to renovate the farmhouse and convert the redundant barns into residential dwellings. The central barn had previously been used to store oats and beans with access to the first floor via timber steps located on the north and south elevations, which have since been removed. The four bays on the ground floor would have stored the wagons and the oats would have been loaded onto these using chutes. The block wall lean-to is a later addition to create a pig pen. The detached single storey gable ended building on the far eastern side of the site was previously used to house cattle with the dividing wall constructed later to create a separate milking room.
See report (S2) for plans and photographs.
