Summary

Long building shown on Gaywood Tithe and Enclosure maps, aligned northeast-southwest, possibly a ropewalk, although seems somewhat short.

Long building aligned northeast-southwest on (S1) and (S2).
Two buildings not on same alignment shown on (S3) with wall projecting at one corner.
This was open fields until the land was purchased by the town council in 1880 to extend The Walks. Identification of building a mystery – possibly a ropewalk but it seems somewhat short.
