Map

Barn of flint and brick. North wall to road has central cart door and slits, bricks have horizontal skintlings. Modern plaque states 1725-1980. South elevation altered to form two storeys of openings ; original brickwork has diagonal skintlings and there is much random brick. The date of 1980 refers to the conversion; the date of 1725 is said to have been suggested by architects Purcell Miller and Tritton. The south wall certainly could be of around this period, but the north wall has been rebuilt at some date after around 1770 as the bricks indicate.
