Summary

Metal-detecting between 2008 and 2014 recovered Roman and medieval to post-medieval coins; medieval jettons and Roman and Late Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. The metal objects include Roman brooches, an axe/mattock headed pin and a handle in the form of a female figure, probably Venus; a Middle/Late Saxon pin head; a medieval strap-end and thimble or sewing ring and a post-medieval buckle and harness mounts.

The Middle/Late Saxon silver pin head was declared Treasure at inquest (Ref: 2008 T250) on 20 May 2008 and acquired by Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 2009.207).
