Summary

Fieldwalking and metal detecting in 1997 recovered Late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age flints including cores, a scraper, and a blade as well as medieval and post medieval pottery sherds, prehistoric pot boilers, a medieval spur, and two copper alloy buttons.

January-April 1997. Systematic Fieldwalking and Metal-detecting Survey.
Field survey on proposed route of Bacton to Great yarmouth pipeline (Field/Location RDX 5.2).
Fieldwalking and metal detecting recovered twelve pieces of worked flint including two small cores, a semi-circular scraper, and a blade all broadly dated to the Late Neolithic-Bronze Age. Medieval and post medieval pottery sherds, a 14th century spur, two copper alloy buttons, lead scrap, and unidentified iron items were also recovered.
