Full Description
St Margaret's Church, Westwick.
'Of over Westwick' - R. R. Clarke (NCM).
February 1954. Listed, Grade I.
Listing Description excerpt:
"Former parish church, now redundant and used as gymnasium. 14th century and 15th century. Flint with stone and brick dressings. Slate roof. West tower. Nave and chancel with south aisle. North and south porches. Rood-stair turret on north side. 19th-century vestry north of chancel. Four-stage tower with diagonal buttresses to first three stages."

Architects plans 1993 and 1994 for proposed conversions in file (S3).
According to (S4) a crucifix on the exterior of the building was recovered from the river after falling off a house at St Miles Bridge, and was originally part of the building materials brought from St Benets Abbey to be used in the Dukes Palace.
