Summary

A fieldwalking and metal-detecting survey of part of this field in 2008 recovered prehistoric worked flints; medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; a medieval glazed floor tile; post-medieval roof tiles and a small number of post-medieval and undated metal objects.

March-April 2008. Systematic Fieldwalking and Metal-detecting Survey.
Field survey on proposed route of Sheringham Shoals Offshore Windfarm Grid Connection (Field 1).
Finds recovered included:
1 prehistoric flint end scraper, 1 core fragment and 3 flakes.
2 medieval pottery sherds and 1 glazed floor tile.
2 post-medieval pottery sherds, 2 roof tiles, 2 copper alloy wire fragments and 1 copper alloy unidentified object.
1 ?post-medieval roof tile.
1 undatable ceramic building material fragment, 3 copper alloy unidentified objects and 1 lead unidentified object.
