Summary

Archaeological work at this site between 2008 and 2010 revealed two intersecting ditches, one of which produced medieval pottery. These features were both identified during trial trenching in 2008. A watching brief maintained during subsequent groundworks in 2009/2010 recorded no additional remains and no finds were recovered.

September-November 2008. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of site on proposed route of Sheringham Shoals Offshore Windfarm Grid Connection cable (Trenches 88 and 89).
A pair of roughly parallel, intercut ditches were exposed in the southernmost of the two trenches excavated at this location. What appeared to be the earlier of the two produced several sherds of medieval pottery.

2009-2010. Watching Brief.
Monitoring of topsoil stripping and other groundworks associated with installation of the Sheringham Shoals Offshore Windfarm Grid Connection cable.
No archaeologically-signficant feature or deposits observed and no finds recovered.
