Map

Circular cropmark. Visible on (S1) taken 1990 from a microlight by friend of informant (copy in file) as dark circle around pale area with dark spot offcentre. However (S2) taken by RAF 1959 before adjacent field boundary and pond were removed, seems to show feature as a depression, suggesting it may have been another pond. Informant [1] suggests it is an ancient ritual feature.
E. Rose (NLA), 27 February 2007.
