Summary

Lifeboat house, originally erected for the construction of the lifeboat Henry Ramey Upcher in 1894, and thereafter used as its house. Gable to northwest weatherboarded; two other masonry rendered gables, presumably later, set back to one side.

Lifeboat house, originally erected for the construction of the lifeboat Henry Ramey Upcher in 1894, and thereafter used as its house. Gable to northwest weatherboarded; two other masonry rendered gables, presumably later, set back to one side. The bridge that carries the promenade over the slipway had, until its reconstruction in the 1990s, a plaque dated 1904 saying that the public were only allowed to cross by permission of the Admiralty.
