Summary

Two parallel banks, with a ditch to north. They mark the northern edge of Emily's Wood on a map from the 1880s. These banks have now been recorded under NHER 61991.

April 2008. Field visit.
Two parallel banks, aligned east to west, with a ditch to north. The northern bank is up to 3m wide, with the southern bank up to 4m wide. Both are up to 0.5m tall. In places the two banks are 1m apart, in others they merge together. The ditch is up to 2m wide.
The banks and ditch mark the northern edge of Emily's Wood on the tithe (S1) and 1st edition 6 inch (S2) maps and presumably are medieval or post medieval woodland boundary features.
