The Early Saxon silver buckle was initially recorded as an unidentified Early/Middle Saxon silver object. It was subsequently re-identified as part of a later fifth-century buckle of either Proosa type or Snartemo-Sjörup type. It was donated to Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 2007.340) by all parties and hence disclaimed as Treasure (Ref: 2006 T504). See [2].
